What are cookies?

"Cookies" are small text files, created automatically upon access to a particular site, with the purpose of performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions and storing specific information concerning the User and his/her visit.

Third-party Cookies They come from third party sites .The Data Controller of the visited site has no control over them and over the related information. Social network cookies:

These are third-party cookies generated by "social plugins" for social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, etc. These plugins are represented by buttons displayed on the host site that do not have an automatic operation, but transmit information through cookies only behind an action (a click) of the user.
